For shattering coke bottle and crashing building shots: I'm responsible for R&D, dynamics, rendering and model the bullet. I did the simulation in Houdini, output to Maya, final render with Maya and Houdini. This is a project which involved in lots of artists and different types of software. All the background footage were shot with Red One. The CG model such as, the building, the rocket launcher and the coke bottle were done in Maya. I exported the model as fbx files, Maya camera with alembic(.abc) file format to Houdini for creating the effects, eg: shattering, splashing and explosion effects. Then, exported the animated models as alembic file to Maya for other artists to do the texture and lighting. Smoke was also done in Houdini, rendered out as exr file with multi passes for compositing purpose.
For rest of the shots in demo reel: I did all the visual effects, including: dynamics, animation, texture & lighting, rendering, motion graphics and compositing. I use Houdini, Maya and RealFlow for dynamics, Nuke/AE for compositing, Maya for Modeling, texture & lighting.
